The Sotoyome RCD in Collaboration with Gold Ridge RCD and the Sonoma County Grapegrowers Association would like to announce a workshop on a Vineyard Winterization Strategies, August 1st. This workshop will provide vineyard owners and Spanish speaking workers with information on good management practices for erosion control, preparation, installation, and maintenance of new and existing vineyards. Speakers will include representatives from the Natural Resource Conservation Service, UC Extension, Sotoyome RCD, and Steve Thomas from Jackson Family Farms. The following topics will be highlighted at the workshops
- Cover Crops
- Buffers to preserve water quality
- Planning, Design, and Installation of Erosion Controls
- Maintenance of Erosion Controls
English Speakers will meet from 8:30am - 12:30pm at Twin Valley Ranch at 9015 Westside Road.
Spanish Speakers will meet from 2pm - 4pm at Twin Valley Ranch at 9015 Westside Road.
