Volunteer Training Workshop

Get trained to participate in the May 17, 2003 event

Snapshot Day 2003 will be the first California Coast Wide monitoring event. The Sotoyome RCD is coordinating Snapshot Day activities from Tomales Bay to the Navarro River. This event will provide important information about the quality of California's coastal streams.

Snapshot Day Goals:

Enhance communication among monitoring groups throughout the state.
Evaluate the quality of water flowing to the California coast on May 17, 2003.
Create a coast wide network of volunteer monitors.
Provide a mechanism to integrate data from many different monitoring groups.

All SRCD programs are open to the public and offered on a non-discriminatory basis.

What to Bring:
Any water quality monitoring equipment that you would like to calibrate and use on May 17.

Why Attend:

Learn to properly use a variety of water quality sampling equipment (kits, meters, etc.)
Learn how to calibrate and maintain equipment
Be involved in the first California Coast Wide monitoring event
