School and Community Recycling

The Sotoyome Resource Conservation District supports green waste recycling at Sonoma County schools. Our objectives are to reduce landfill pressure and develop good stewardship skills.

The program helps reduce lunch waste by establishing recycling routines, then producing compost and worm casting products from the green waste.

This compost is sold at a local farmer's market and on campus. Proceeds are used to fund recycling education at the school.

That's so RecyCool!!!
