Intern / Volunteer Needed at Sotoyome RCD

Sotoyome Resource Conservation District (RCD) is a local public agency. We are seeking enthusiastic interns and volunteers who are looking to gain more experience in the field of natural resource conservation and sustainable agriculture. Established in 1945, the Sotoyome RCD has been a leader in promoting the stewardship of natural resources in central and northern Sonoma County. For more information go to:

The intern / volunteer will conduct seasonal field work for our Water Quality Monitoring, Habitat Enhancement, and Conservation Programs. They will assist in a variety of field and office activities starting early May and ending, ideally, in October.
General requirements preferred but not essential include:
- Education / general knowledge related to biological / natural resources
- Able to work 2-3 full days a week of field work and/or data analysis
- Capable of strenuous hiking at times; ability to lift and carry field equipment
- Available to work flexible hours and days
- Experience using Excel
Internship possibilities are ongoing and are a great way to gain valuable work experience related to resource conservation, biology, and public outreach in the Russian and Gualala River Watersheds. Our programs also allow you to earn additional college credits.
